Horse Shows & Clinics

indoorw_horses.jpgdsc_0126.jpgChez Chevaux offers clinics and horse shows from fall through spring.  Overnight stabling is often available so riders can leave their horse for the weekend and participate in the clinic(s) and show.

On March 6, Chez Chevaux will hold an Intercollegiate Horse show, hosted by Bates, Bowdoin and the University of New England Equestrian teams.  Colleges from throughout the region will compete on Chez Chevaux’s horses.  Come to watch, or volunteer to help for the day.

March 19-21 will bring Frank Bassett to Chez Chevaux for a clinic and horse show weekend.  Frank brings experience in the hunter, jumper and equitation rings to share with riders.  He’s excited to visit Maine and share some of his experience.   Sunday’s show will offer classes for all–leadline, mini and short stirrup, 2′-3′ hunters, Downeast Equitation Medal Qualifying classes, and jumpers.  Overnight stabling available.

Pat Towle returns from her winter in FL April 23-25.  She’s sure to have some new exercises to keep us all on our toes as we get ourselves and our horses ready for the spring/summer show season.  Clinic Friday/Saturday, show on Sunday.

Nora Hanlon will be here May 21-23 for her first non-January visit!  She’s been busy riding, teaching and training since her visit last year, and is sure to have lots of useful insights to share with us in Friday/Saturday clinics.  Horse show on Sunday

Please call or email for further information or to reserve a spot for any of the clinics/shows.  We look forward to seeing you here!
