Lessons

Beginners start in private half-hour lessons, usually on the lunge line. Once comfortable trotting around off the lunge line, riders are grouped together to ride for one hour. Groups are limited to four riders at a time. More advanced riders are grouped according to ability based on an initial evaluation lesson. Private hour lessons are also available.

Chez Chevaux has several great lesson horses available. Students are also welcome to bring their own horses in for lessons.

All students will groom and tack their horses before the lesson and put them away after riding. Students are required to wear a riding helmet, long pants and hard-soled shoes with heels – NO SNEAKERS. A helmet will be provided for riders without their own.
